Where is the petrol tank located on my Nissan Sentra 1997?
Your asking is a good thing Petrol Tank is under the floor under the back seat. The rear shelf has trim over the metal part. Some sentra have fixed rear seats other have folding seats. rear seat bottom pulls up and fixed rear seat bolts two places and lifts off of hooks. In your owners manual there are tether part numbers and locations where the tethers connect into pre threaded holes see section #2 page 34 and page 35. From inside truck thread a long 125mm 8 mm x 125 pitch bolt upward thru the welded nut that will break thru the parcel shelf pre drilled hole (3) tether locations one in the middle and one on each side. The teather hook Nissan part number 88894-89900. Small children should be in the middle of the back seat. And congrats Soon to be Mom! If you were to pull into the Dealership where I work (north Texas) we would install the tether anchor for free. Ask your dealership for details.
