Your oil filter is in the right ( passenger side) front of the vehicle hidden by the black splash guard. It5 requires a special oil filter wrench to remove. I assure you the filter is VERY tight and you will have great difficulty removing it. I did once and now take it to either the dealer or an oil change place. You will find some Avalons have two types of filters and you need the vin to get the right one. I suggest having an oil person change it, really.
