Where is the Minneapolis St. Paul International Airport?
Located just outside of Minneapolis the airport resides in the suburb of Bloomington along side of the famous Mall of America. Although you can not see the Mall of America from the terminal it is only a short six minute drive away. You can get to both Minneapolis or St. Paul within thirty minutes from the airport. The Minneapolis St. Paul Airport really consists of two terminals that are 1 mile apart from each other. Not accessible by walking, there is a underground tram that connects the two. The main terminal is the Lindbergh terminal named after the famous aviator Charles Lindbergh. This terminal is the main hub Northwest Airlines. The smaller terminal is the Humphrey terminal named after Vice President Hubert Humphrey a local of Minnesota. The airport was constructed in the 1920’s on what used to be a local race track.
