Where is the list of roads that will be repaired? If there is no list, how can we know what the money will be used for?
Measure E spells out the process for selection with the active input from a Citizens’ Oversight Commission in public meetings. The city council did not want voters to be misled on street selection, and that is why this public process was set up for all to see and participate in. The Infrastructure Funding Plan and Measure E will maintain and restore a large number of city streets. With material and construction prices escalating significantly and all road contracts subject to a public bidding process, it is difficult to identify in advance exactly how many streets will be fixed under this plan, but the commission will work to make the most possible repairs with the funding available.
