Where is the largest Ferris wheel located and what are its dimensions?
After searching on “largest ferris wheel” and doing some extensive fact checking, we determined that the honor goes to the London Eye. A subsequent search on “British Airways London Eye” provided the specifics about this mammoth wheel. Designed by Marks Barfield Architects, the Eye was built to celebrate the millennium and was scheduled to open on January 1, 2000. However, technical and safety problems delayed its opening by three months. Built on the South Bank of the Thames, the observation wheel stands 450 feet (135 meters) high and features 32 climate-controlled passenger capsules. Each capsule weighs 10 tons and holds 25 passengers.
