The half-mile River Walk is a National Recreation Trail and follows the west bank of the Housatonic River, in two sections. The upstream section ccontains the William Stanley Overlook and is entered on Main Street through the gate between Rite Aid and Pink Cloud (195 Main Street). The downstream section is wheelchair accessible and can be entered through the W.E.B. Du Bois River Garden Park at Church and River Streets or at Bridge Street.
