Where is the graduation ceremony held?
• Clayton campus – Robert Blackwood Hall • Gippsland campus – the new Auditorium (Building 3E) on Gippsland Campus (please note Gippsland is at least a 2 hour drive from Melbourne and graduands must arrange their own transport) • Offshore graduations: • Singapore – Shangri-La Hotel • Kuala Lumpur – Sunway Resort Hotel • Monash South Africa campus – Sandton Convention Centre • Beijing China – Grand Hyatt Hotel You can choose where you would like to graduate. You do not have to graduate at your campus of study. Robert Blackwood Hall: The venue for all ceremonies at the Clayton campus is the Robert Blackwood Concert Hall, designed by Sir Roy Grounds and named for the university’s first chancellor, Sir Robert Blackwood. It houses one of the finest organs, the Louis Matheson Pipe Organ designed by Jurgen Ahrend and named for the university’s foundation vice-chancellor, Sir Louis Matheson.
