where is the evidence of a vast conspiracy?
The same as the evidence for creationism: NONE. The same as for the other famous conspiracy “theories”, like the “faked Moon landing”, the JFK “conspiracy” (Read the massive Vincent Bugliosi book that blows all of the doors off of that collection of insane wingnuts), and so on: NONE. Also, their IDiot movie, Expelled, has also been plentifully debunked.
I was amazed when I first heard Cretinists touting the LIE that there was a conspiracy which involved ALL scientists who reckoned that evolution had more credibility than either the xian or the islam version of the goat herders’ guide to the galaxy. Of course it all makes sense when you realise that their whole ‘suck up to the invisible sky critter or else’ scam is a conspiracy to fleece the gullible of their minds and money.
I don’t think there is a conspiracy, just limited options. If you reject the idea of God, there are not a lot of options floating around out there to choose from as to where we came from. So the majority of people who reject God end up being evolutionists and have a strong bias in that direction. So it seems like a unified conspiracy, but in reality just nothing else to choose from.
