Consumers Energy purchases Michigan-based wind power and landfill gas to create the Green Generation energy mix. Consumers Energy currently has supply contracts with seven new independent renewable energy projects, representing approximately 240,000 megawatt hours of renewable energy annually, enough to serve an estimated 30,000 customers.
