Where is the egr valve on a 2001 Ford Escape?

The 2001 Ford Escape EGR is located on the “top” of the engine slightly back toward the firewall. The right side connects to a tube from the exhaust manifold. The left side connects to the intake manifold. It is further recognizable by the vacuum tube (about 1/4″ o.d) that goes from the EGR to the EVS (exhaust vacuum solinoid). IMHO, very accessable.
