Usually on VW’s, the ECU is underneath the front dash cowl on the driver’s side of the car. Yuo have to access it from under the hood. Remove the plastic panel that is underneath your wiper blades, and it should be sitting there, staring you in the face. Sometimes there are 2 ECU’s and the one more the center of the vehicle is the one you’re looking for.
