Where is the Department located?
Goodspeed Hall, located at the southwest corner of theUniversity Quadrangle, houses the Department of Music. The entrance to the building is on the inside of the Quadrangle, which can be accessed from the archway located at 1010 East 59th Street. Our doors are located between the Classics Building and Gates-Blake Hall.Is the building accessible for those with disabilities or special mobility needs? Yes. The first thing you will see upon entering Goodspeed Hall is an elevator, and there are accessible restrooms located on the 4th floor. Fulton Recital Hall is equipped with a ramp for wheelchairs or walkers, in addition to handrails for the four steps down into the seating area. There are also assisted listening devices available for events in the Recital Hall upon request. Columbia’s Mechanical Engineering Department is located on the second floor of the Seeley W. Mudd Building, which is located at the northeast corner of Columbia University’s Morningside campus.
