My 2001 Saturn L300 had random problems starting hot, cutting off intermittently and erratic transmission shifting. No check engine light. Multiple posts on different sites indicated the CPS as the cause. Purchased sensor from Saturn dealer for ~$100 and installed. Installation very simple. Sensor is located just under the oil filter housing on the front of the engine block. Very accessible from front of car without jacking or ramps. Sensor is held in by 1 male torx screw. Good luck!
