Where Is The Crank Sensor Located On A 1997 Dodge Intrepid 3.5L Engine?

The crank sensor is located in the bellhousing of the transmission. It is in the middle of the undercarriage towards the firewall and it is adjustable. If you insert it too deep in the hole, that is provided for it, it will eat off the end of the sensor and the car will not start. You may have to pull it out a bit and tighten it back down, so that the computer will know that the engine is turning. This is what tells the computer when to provide spark to start the engine. The sensor gets its reading off of the flywheel speed.
