Lampang is the closest town which is 33 Km and Chiang Mai is about 70 Km. away from Thai Elephant Conservation Center. So the tourists can stay one night in Lampang or Chiang Mai and then organize the transport to the camp. Lampang is very good place as it ‘s real non-tourist attraction, but there are so many things to see like old temples and nice people. The people in Lampang did not speak English very well, but they will try to communicate them the tourists and they are very friendly not like Chiang Mai most of the taxi driver can speak English.
