Although the moderated ASF forums contain a Charter (made available through that system) there there currently is no reliable source for retrieving the original creation request (“control” message) or Charter which may have been included in such a request. However, the oldest archived messages for ASF (mostly booster and rmgroup control messages and arguments between admins) can be found at: ftp.isc.org/pub/usenet/control/alt/alt.seduction.fast.Z In the opinion of the authors, the best current and future source of information regarding the ASF newsgroup is this FAQ. This is explicitly the case for the moderated ASF forums.
