I have been a member for 8 years now. I would change gyms in a heart beat if something better came along on the east side… My biggest complaints:The womens locker room is not kept cle24, the showers ALWAYS HAVE CLUMPS OF HAIR ALL OVER THE FLOORS. (GROSS), the water doesn’t drain quickly, the shower curtains are too small for the stalls and do not close all the way, there is no place to put your shampoo except on a disgusting floor (I don’t use the showers anymore). the locker room is honestly the worst locker room I have ever been in…….no kidding! This gym is constantly trying to cut costs, no luxuries or perks here! Unless you consider balloons a luxury. At times it feels like you walked onto a used car lot! If you get a trainer (and they do have some very good ones here!) you will be constantly reminded/houndedabout “special promos” and “supplements” to help you reach your goal faster. They are required to “sell” to reach their monthly productivity goals. I told the t

I’ve been attending a Vinyasa Flow yoga class on Wednesday nights and it has just been an amazing jouney for my body and soul. Beth uses the yoga Asana’s(postures) and meditation to make an exhilarating, yet calming class. I always walk out of her class relaxed and ready for the rest of my week.Beth is very open to helping new students understand the basics of yoga and she also helps push a 5 year yoga veteren(me) to learn new postures and improve the form of poses I thought I knew.I highly recommend this class to anyone!Pros + small intimate yoga studio

As most, I have done the tour of yoga studios. I moved to Portland two years ago, as a yoga instructor myself. I thought as soon as I find a studio I jive with, I will look into becoming a part of that community. With SO many studios in Portland, I didnt think it would be so hard. What I found though is something like watered down soup. Because yoga studios are more common, its like putting water in the soup so there is more to go around, but it is just not as good. So, I can never rate a studio as a whole, but instead have found amazing instructors that are the sole reason I go to certain studios.Check out Lila! Her sequencing, her themes, her spiritual teaching, and her aura of joyous love are amazing, and something everyone should experience.I have been to many other classes with other instructors at this studio, and really like the nice new space it moved into, but really I go there because that is where Lila teaches. I would follow her to any studio.Pros + Lila

This place is fabulous. The service was completely wonderful. They were helpful, attentive, caring and always there for the customers, like we were their #1 priority. I have received two services there, one the massage… amazing I was completely in a daze after from being so relaxed. I had Victor as my masseuse and he was fabulous. I also had a bronze and glow which is amazing. Their shower room is possibly the best shower ever invented. I could live in it. Oh and their shampoo and conditioner smells to die for. They don’t rush you in any way and it feels as though they are doing everything in their power to make your day better. Their was a schedule mishap during my massage and in return they gave us two peices of their delicious cheesecake as a token for our inconvenience. We still did not wait more than ten minutes for them to fix the problem. I highly recommend this fabulous spa.Pros + Fabulous staff, great facility, really good service and spaCons – Little pricey
