Where is the Best Yoga in Portland, Oregon?
There has been a proliferation of yoga studios over the past several years, but few of them offer the caliber of instruction I’ve found at Sunset Yoga. I’m impressed by the highly qualified teachers, trained in the Iyengar tradition and offering a high degree of personal support as we students progress at our own rate. Also love the ambiance of the studio–bamboo floors, lots of natural light, and a wall of windows looking out at a courtyard style northwest garden.Pros + qualified instructors, ambiance, lots of free parking
I first heard about Barre 3 from one of my friends who is an instructor at the studio. She encouraged me to take classes, and see how I liked the format, perhaps one day to become an instructor myself. I wasn’t sure if the class would be a challenge, and I figured I would be an advanced client since I work out daily. BOY WAS I WRONG. THIS CLASS KICKED MY BUTT IN THE BEST WAY! I instantly fell in love with classes, and dropped my 24hr membership. 3 months later, I am in training to be an instructor, already teaching mock classes each week.This is an astounding method that is completely about balance in form, shape, strength, and self. What you learn here carries you throughout the day.
