Where is the Best Yoga in Minneapolis, Minnesota?
I started yoga 4 years ago at One Yoga as a complete “newbie” who knew nothing about yoga and was rather out of shape. At one time or another I’ve taken all the classes from Vinyasa Basics to Ashtanga. The teachers are all very warm, helpful, accepting – yet give you a good challenge if you are looking for it. The facility itself is beautiful. I’ve been to several yoga studios and this is still my favorite – the warm orange walls and the fabulous skylight are the best. I highly recommend this studio and its teacher to beginning yoga students through experiences yogis. You’ll find all there – all ages, all body shapes, all levels. It’s a great place. I’ve gone from yoga “newbie” to a certified yoga teacher myself who will soon be teaching on the West Coast. Thanks One Yoga. I still miss your studio!!Pros + Props provided, Natural light, Yoga reading materialCons – Parking is tight.
I’ve started Bikram Yoga here as a beginner. Since I have gone to classes on different days of the week and times I have had three instructors–all were very supportive, energetic, and fun. A 90 minute class can be long in the high heat and humidity; but I think it really helps you get deep into the postures. The first time you come arrive early to fill out the intake form . . . and if you just want to try it out they’ll rent you a yoga mat to get you started. Visit the webpage: www.yogamn.com for all the info; the map on this City Guide page isn’t correct. Also, the ‘front’ door is in the back.Pros + beginner friendly, great instructors, peaceful environment
I started taking yoga and pilates classes from Ellie Gregoire last Fall where she teaches during the lunch hour at my company. Now I’m truly addicted and take absolutely every class she has! She just opened a very quaint studio in Hopkins which offers a relaxed, non-intimidating environment. Ellie provides personalized training and works with where you are at, yet pushes you to get to the next level. The class schedule is excellent for the busy professional.Pros + Personal Attention, Yoga Mat/Props Provide, Location
