Where is the Best Yoga in Minneapolis, Minnesota?
I am new to yoga and I started taking classes at the Yoga Center and I absolutely love it! They are now located on Highway 55~near the Golden Valley strip mall and Kare 11. (The phone number is still the same). The instructors are very helpful and knowledgeable. I felt very comfortable as a beginner and since going, have noticed many positive effects from yoga. Classes are a bit on the pricey side, but I’m broke, so everything is expensive. The prices are comprable to others, but more than at the local YMCA for instance.Pros + Knowledgeable, HelpfulCons – somewhat expensive
This is the real deal, a “by-the-book” Bikram class with the personal attention you deserve. I’ve practiced in St. Louis, Vermont, and Bloomington, MN and this is, by far, my favorite studio. The instruction and atmosphere is intense, but not intimidating or overwhelming. The studio itself is a retreat of mediation, it has a woodsy feel including real timber and swinging chairs for pre- or post- yoga relaxation. The only down point is the changing area is small. Sometimes you may find yourself bumping into your neighbor. Bikram Yoga isn’t for the faint of heart or a place where you’ll hear a lot of OM’s being chanted, but you will leave feeling incredible after working every muscle, every ligament, every tendon, everyTHING in your body. Some like it HOT :)Pros + Atmosphere, intense workout, convenient location, instructors, class offeringsCons – The changing area too small when class sizes are large
When I went to Sabai Body Temple, I did not know what to expect, since I have done home service massages with family members. As soon as I entered the building, the red wooden stairs, the aromas, the quietness of the place was already enhancing relaxation mood in me. As I walked in, was greeted by staff, I was seated and was aked if I wanted a water or tea-which I have acquired to have a mint tea just prepare my mind for the session. Following was a page long questionere inquiring about my past experience and what my preferences should be. After that, preparing for the massage was even interesting. I could still remember the walls painted in gold, the smooth, water fall that lay the corner in the room, the sofa with the white cloth, and the soothing, yet relaxing music played in the background. I had the best experience, since I have worked with someone who was quite experienced to my judgement, and that knew what she was doing. I was rather, satisfied overall with more than I have exp
This has got to be one of the best yoga studios in the country. From the moment you walk in, directors Herb and Laiki treat you like a member of the family. The more you put into the practice, the more you’ll recieve in benefits. The yoga room is ideally suited to Bikram’s practice and all the instructors provide their own unique style and personal charm. Highly recommended!!Pros + Instructors, Environment, Conveniently locatedCons – Addictiveness
