I love Mabel and Zora. I can’t speak to how easy or hard it is to return something, because I’ve never wanted to return any of my purchases! The owners are very friendly, and yes, they do offer other outfits to you. I am usually the type of person that would like to be left alone (and am hyper-alert to pushiness), but I actually find their suggestions helpful. If you don’t want help, they will respect that. Last time I was there, I bought an orange cardigan that I wore to a school interview. I got in, and I’m not sayin’ it was definitely the sweater, but it surely didn’t hurt. The prices range from affordable to regular boutique prices. Oh, and in reference to a previous post, this block of Alberta is not “sketchy”. The retro inspired bathing suits can be custom made to fit your body type, and you can choose from a wide assortment of patterns and colors. I was impressed with the woman who helped me choose a bikini style. I wanted some modifications: I am petite, but a 34DD. I had my halter top custom made. The price was quite reasonable: the top was about $20, and the cost to have it custom made was about the same. I have introduced several friends to Poppi, and each time I bring one, I find another bathing suit to buy. Here is the two cents of the friend I took today: OK, I am a self-avowed swimsuit freak. When it comes to clothing, why buy the cheap stuff when you can get the high quality designer items for nearly the same price. Saks has the greatest sales of any clothing store I’ve ever shopped in. I don’t have to wait until an end of season sale to buy items I want because markdowns occur often. Item turn over is fast so I don’t have to see the same clothes over and over again for 6 months(with the same paltry discount) before something new comes in. Sales associates are always friendly and helpful, never pushy. Personalized attention is a rarity when it comes to shoping these days but at Saks it’s commonplace. The store design and atmosphere are a wonderful combination of elegant, hip and comfortable. The minute I walked in to Blake, I knew I would walk out with the perfect jeans. If there were a reality show called “hunt for the perfect jeans”, Blake would be the host. For a half an hour, he focused all of his fun-loving energy on fitting my not-so-perfect figure into the perfect jeans for me. I paid over $100 and worked up a sweat trying on so many pairs, but I am so satisfied that I don’t care. He wasn’t afraid to tell me when a pair made me look fat, and he took the fit of my jeans even more seriously than me- which is very serious! There is no comparison.
