Where is the Best Wine List in Salt Lake City, Utah?
I have been to the melting-pot three times over the past two years. The reason it has only been three times is because of the price. Do not misunderstand me, I am not saying they are over-priced, merely out of my budget.On my first visit I didn’t know what to expect, I was surprised at the prices, but we stayed because I was not about to embarass myself in front of my girlfriend. We were both pleased with the service, the servers were friendly and attentive. There is somewhat of a lag on drink service, but I think this is due to the large amount of time the server spends at each table. Every time your server is there they seem to spend about five minutes with you. There is plenty of time to relax and enjoy each others company in private. Yes you are in public but the entire time i was there I saw maybe 3 people other than staff, on what appeared to be a busy night. Log Haven features wonderful food with a beautiful location. The menu changes and is always delicious, but it is not as good as some other restaurants as far as menu items are concerned. Go for the atmosphere–I was seated by the fire, and it made for a very romantic evening. The Oaxacan Cheese appetizer (not on the menu right now) was incredible, and I’m sad they removed it. Overall, the food is good enough to merit the prices, but it won’t take your breath away.Pros + Atmosphere, Ambience, Location
One of the most fantastic meals we have ever had. The food, service and atmosphere was exceptional. We were personally greated by the owner and chef as we entered and we were blown away by the entire expierence. All 4 of us had something different, yet we all were very impressed with our meals. We are NYC residents and have a mulitude of fantastic restaurants in our backyard. We are certainly tough critics. Chez Betty compares to any of the world renown NYC restuarants.
