Where is the Best Wine List in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania?
On Citysearch, I posted a review about having drinks upstairs with regards to the snarling pretentious bartender. I also posted the same exact review on Yelp (another online review web site). Through Yelp, I received an email from the owner letting me know the bartender is no longer there. I wrote an update on Yelp and I commented that I appreciated that my review was taken seriously. And I am updating my Citysearch review as well. I wanted to mention that I received a prompt response from Fri Sat Sun’s owner about my unfavorable visit to his restaurant. I will give them another shot.Pros + location
I paid for a special package to spend New Year’s Eve at Patou. The price was reasonable, and it was easy enough to get a drink, considering how crowded it was. However, I do have to say that the DJ in the front room didn’t even count down to midnight, and when he realized he missed it, he got on his mic and said, “I forgot the countdown – my bad.” That was great. My main complaint was the fact that they had over 200 people there, and only one men’s room and one women’s room. This was a big logistical problem, but even worse was the fact that toilet paper in the women’s room ran out before midnight and was NEVER replenished. Patou was trying to throw a hip, classy event, but the women’s room was in worse condition that a neighborhood dive bar. It is an embarassment to the owners that they couldn’t even keep enough toliet paper in there for the guests.I have never ate at Patou, so I cannot speak for the food or restaurant, but when it comes to big events, they don’t seem staff
This was the most disappointing dining experience I have ever had. After reading all of the glowing reviews in various magazines, my husband and I were excited and called two months in advance to secure our reservations. We waited for our table for almost 1 hour and while this was not the most pleasant experience, the time only whetted our appetites for what we believed would be great dining – wrong! The menu was very limited and would excite only those who favor tripe, veal kidneys and other body parts I prefer to leave on the butcher’ s floor. Only after the waiter presented the specials, was I able to find something that was not unappetizing, if not exciting – fettucine! So, while I waited for 40 minutes for pasta, I contemplated what kind of magic had Vetri been able to wield over pasta. At last, I was disappointed again – it was just pasta and not enough of it! Still hoping to find something to rave about, we eagerly grabbed the dessert menu, which offered absolutely nothin
