Where is the Best Wine List in Charlotte, North Carolina?

We visited Capital Grille tonight for the very first time, it was “restaurant week” in Charlotte so we wanted to take advantage of the three course special for $30 each. We got there early because we wanted to sit at the bar for a bit. The hostess told us our table would be ready a bit before our reservation time, but to sit at the bar, enjoy, and let her know when we were ready to be seated. We sat at the bar and I asked for a Stoli Doli, which came HIGHLY requested on this very board – well y’all were right on! Delicious (albeit a bit pricey – $12 each). I downed two of them (haha, be careful, they WILL catch up to you, not right away though, I was definitely not feeling too hot during my heavy but heavenly meal). They are strong, but excellent. Anyway, while we were at the bar, I believe it was the manager or head maitree’de came over and said “hope we didnt butcher your last name too badly when you walked in, your table is ready whenever you are.” I said to my fiancee, how did he k

Went here quite a while ago, and it was my first experience in a Brazilian Steakhouse. Upon sitting down you are greeted by a server for drink orders and are advised to make your way to the salad/cheese/light appetizer bar to get appetite moving. Here there are shrimp, salads, cheeses, fruits and vegetables. Being that I came here for the meat selection, I went very light on that portion of the meal. Shortly after you receive little tokens where you are told that if it’s one side up the servers bring sticks of meat out to your table until you turn it “off” per se. They had a huge selection of meats; chicken, ribs, beef, lamb all done multiple ways. Each of these meats were cooked perfectly had no issues with the seasonings. They cut you pieces depending on how you like your meat i.e. the closer to the inside of the stick, it’s going to be more rare, etc., which is nice for people who are particular about their meat temperature. Like previous reviews have said, it’s best to go with

After traveling around Charlotte a good 2 – 3 hours we found Ciro’s by mistake when we had decided to go back to the hotel were the convention was being held. Upon entry the place was packed and I thought that we would be there for at least an hour before being seated. To our surprise the Owner (originally from Italy) came over and introduced himself and ask if we had been waiting long (This was after about 5 minutes). During our chat, the attendant called our name and seated us (approx. 10 minutes). The atmosphere was excellent, the owner even played several Italian selections on his accordion. Very romantic. My wife and I had an excellent dinner and the service was great. I would highly recommend this restaurant to any visitor at University Place in Charlotte. And for any racing fan there is a unique story between the owner and famed racing personality/former driver Benny Parsons. So drop by and read the article on the right hand wall as soon as you enter.
