Urbana, as a teabar, offers an excellent variety of quality teas from around the world (100+). They also offer wine and several delicious appetizers. They also sell quality tea-related products. As a lounge, the environment is very conducive to relaxation. The decor, furniture, and continuous sounds of lounge, downtempo, and world music create a very chill atmosphere. As a massage parlor, they offer nothing but the best massage services by a very qualified and friendly staff. I highly recommend frequenting Urbana. This place is gawdy and and over the top from the minute you enter the parking lot. Year round christmas lights and Venecian statues decorate the exterior. The interior does not disappoint. From the initial walk through the kitchen to get to your table to the elaborate pictures of past popes and italian celebrities Buccas has it all. Fake flowers abound and seemingly italian carnival music bursts from the speakers. The service is exceptional and the food loaded with flavor. Bring an appetite as most menu items are meant to be shared. This is a great place to go if you are looking for great food but a little something different. Bring a sense of humor.
Carraba’s has the best Italian food on earth! This is the best place if you want a change from the usual family-owned restaurant with good food but small portions and a lack of atmosphere. I’ve visited both locations (Pineville & Uptown) and the service was incomparable. The bread and oil with herbs gets you started and the food is prepared right before your eyes (with a good seat). I’ve waited tables before and, of course, am a picky diner, 2 thumbs up. This is a monthly gathering spot for my friends & me and nice date spot too.
I recently just went to Zebra and I have to say it was DELICIOUS! I got the lamb tenderloind diablo, which was sooo tender and cooked to perfection. I recommend it. I also got the jumbo crab cake which was pretty good too. The place can be a little pricey so for those of you that don’t want to spend all that money I found a place online called halfoffdepot. They have a deal where you pay just $20 and you’ll receive a $50 certificate to eat there. Trust me it’s worth it. Got to the charlotte section….go check it out.Pros + Excellent food and service
