Where is the Best Wine Bar in Denver, Colorado?

I havnt been into the village cork in about 2 years until I got an e-mail telling me to rediscover the village cork!So me and my wife went back on our tuesday date night! There was still that warm and cozy inviting feeling in there and now they have a Chef!Chef samir has got to be one of the most personal and best chef’s in denver right now. Alot of restaurants here in denver are reaching to far to re-invent food. The village corks menu was simple and right to the point we tryed about 6 items off of samir’s 13 item menu which changes monthly or whenever he gets bored! The house cured duck procuitto was a mouthgasm and the lamb stew was amazing it had local sweet onions, sweet potatoes, farro, and flavorful tender lamb tenderloin. We finished with the raspberry ladyfinger breadpudding with a pecan gelato. The gelato was the best I have ever had! And they had a wine pairing for each menu item. And one of the best wine list in town just like the food simple and right to the point! I

Once we met Derek and were introduced to the wines we were hooked! I have had 2 after hours parties there with great success. Derek can help with catering and music suggestions. The service at the tasting is first rate! I have also made many batches of wine with friends and had lots of fun tasting, making and then coming back for the “bottling party”! The wine itself is VERY good!! Making up your own “private” label puts the final special touch on the experience! Do yourself a favor and stop in to check it out – you won’t be disappointed!! Say Hi to Derek, Mark or Sara and tell them Kathy sent you!! ENJOY!Pros + PARKING, AMBIANCE, FRIENDLINESS AND KNOWLEDGE OF STAFF

I took a total shot in the dark and hosted my staff holiday dinner here. We had our dinner in the private room, which was wonderful. The staff were incredible. EVERYONE loved their food. The common response from the 20 or so we had that night was, “Why haven’t we heard about this place?” We were there on a Tuesday night, and the place was nearly empty. Not sure how busy it is on the weekends or during warmer weather. But, if this place doesn’t get more popular, it will be a damn shame. Their menu had lots of variety, everything tasted great, and their wine selection was fantastic. If I were giving the owner advice, all I’d say is that the slacker wear worn by the staff seemed a little out of place. I would DEFINITELY recommend this for a romantic dinner, or as someplace to take a client on a business dinner.Pros + Food, wine, service, ambience, private room.Cons – Why are the staff wearing those dumb rock t-shirts?

Don’t be shy, it just seems pretentious from the name. It is a wine bar, but you could walk in wearing anything from a little black dress to a t-shirt and jeans and feel comfortable. With something like over 40 wines by the glass and a saucy little reserve list, this place is great for winos, from connoisseurs to those on a budget. The staff is not only knowledgeable on their own wine list, but can answer your questions on just about anything wine related. Paris Wine Bar has the same ownership of it’s infamous sister store Paris On The Platte and conveniently located right next door, so your designated driver can get a milkshake or latte while sober-supervising. They share the same kitchen, but offer a few cheese boards and more sophistication than the cafe can provide. Free wi-fi both inside and on their front patio makes the perfect setting for a lunch meeting or study spot. Food is above average and relatively speedy considering their kitchen is providing for 2 restaurants at once.

I think the Bistro is like any other place, you have to experience it for yourself and decide if it is for you or not.I have a great time whenever I go-and I go often. I love the dancing and the live entertainment. One in particular is Ron Ivory. He is there on Wednesday’s. His stage presence is superb and he really engages the crowd. If you have a birthday or a special engagement, plan to do it on a Wednesday night there. I do have to say that the waitresses and service were horrible. OMG unbelievable. However, this is a new year and Al has started it off great with a new and much improved staff. There is a fabulous little red-headed girl and 2 new blondes. They replaced the other mean blonde. You can tell these girls are having fun now and the level of service has drastically been raised. Tina (black hair) the bartender is cute as a button and her drinks get a high five!!! Love her!!!!! Totally!!!I love Al and his wife Brenda because they are not afraid to get out a
