Where is the Best Weekend Getaway Hotel in Portland, Oregon?
I would recommend this hotel highly to anyone travelling to Portland. The service at the Riverplace was phenomenal with incredible attention to detail. Every one I interacted with was friendly and helpful. From advice on area restaurants to travel directions, there was always someone available to help. Additionally, the hotel does not “nickel and dime” you. There is free wireless…
My fiancee surprised me with a trip up to Timberline for the night this past weekend. I found the staff to be absolutley accomadation and helpful. They went out of their way to get us what we needed. The grounds were well kept, but I will say the hiking paths were marked very poorly. We met several people who were lost. The room was cozy and had all the ammenities we needed. The beds were fantastic. The only draw back I found was the noise. A lot of people up late and very early making noise that sometimes sounded like it was in our room. The fine dining was just that, excellent. Would recomend.Pros + service, dining room, staffCons – noisy patrons/, thin walls, hiking trails
I stayed here on a business trip recently. After reading the reviews, I was nervous about getting a really nasty room. Everything actually turned out fine for me. My colleague however, had to put up with a few mishaps (bugs). My room was a decent size. I’m used to boutique hotels…so size doesn’t matter as much. The tv worked, bed…
I recently had out-of-town visitors – as my loft is too small to accommodate them, I reserved two rooms at the Benson Hotel for them to stay in. These are dear friends of mine and I wanted them close to me and I wanted them to be pampered.Regretfully, I made the reservation based on the Benson’s reputation and their impressive lobby. I really should have done more research. My friends did not really complain, but, when I went to viist them, I was appauled by the size of the room – it was just large enough to fit the bed. We couldn’t really visit there and went down to the lobby which had plenty of room. Several times, we asked to have some service there and felt we were treated poorly because we were dressed somewhat casually. While I really enjoyed the visit from my friends, I definitely will consider another hotel in the future. Pros + Nice lobby and locationCons – Small rooms, stuffy service, poor value
i loved the brunch…lots to choose from and it’s always fresh and new. usually it’s difficult with brunches that serve so many to keep the best entrees well-stocked but they seem to have no problem doing so. there are specialty tables for fruits, desserts, breads and an easy to navigate island where the entrees are kept. all is well-planned and well-managed. service is great. the view is wonderful and the rooms/service are very nice.Pros + scenic views, food/restaurants/bar, architecture
