Where is the Best Weekend Getaway Hotel in Cincinnati, Ohio?
When you go by the reviews it may make you think twice about staying there. I read them. The good ones are really good, the bad ones are really bad. Really no way to be neutral. I called the hotel, SEVERAL times. Each time I spoke with someone (I tried to call every shift) I was pleasantly surprised at the level of customer service I encountered. THEY WERE NICE and HONEST! What more could I ask for? Why not call the hotel itself? Why not also rely on the people that see this hotel every single day? Yes, they were honest, candid and considerate! So I arranged a visit to view a few theme rooms and regular rooms. The staff was friendly! Yes, the hotel does need updating. Some halls are a bit dirty. This is true. The outer building not near the pool is a bit older and the rates are cheaper due to the distance from the pool. My opinion is that is where most of the people stay that want a cheap room-and most of the time the clientele you get in those rooms can be unsavory.
I found this charming B&B when looking for something other than the standard hotel for my business trips. After searching the internet, reading a multitude of reviews for this place and other local hotels and B&B’s, I’ve now stayed here a total of 7 times–mostly for business but also with my husband. I’ve alternated between the three Jacuzzi Rooms and found each to be as charming as the next. I love the option of the in-room breakfast and this winter Leanne has added heated mattress pads to the beds—what a PLUS that is on cold winter nights. You don’t find those at the hotels. There’s a great selection of DVD’s, wireless internet (as well as a PC onsite), snacks and soft drinks and one of my favorites–in room coffee service. Gardens are beautiful in the spring and summer and the atmosphere is truly a pleasure. I have recommended this place to anyone looking to stay in Cincinnati–and as a result of recommendations have been able to earn two free nights here. While I love my
The hotel was very nice. Check in was a little disappointing as our room was not ready and the agent said he would call us and let us know when it would be ready. After waiting three hours, I approached the desk and I asked if our room was ready and he said yes. I asked why he did not call as he said he would and he said the manager was supposed to do that. They were not really accommodating. But other than that, our stay was very nice.
