Where is the Best Weekend Getaway Hotel in Austin, Texas?
this is a nice place to go for a quick getaway…..it has quite a few amenities to offer on site…..the pool is great, very attractive and fun…..good for families as well as couples….only drawback was that food was mediocre at the bar and buffet restaurant…..rooms are very nice…..the resort itself is nicely removed in a very private and remote area……great customer service and friendly, helpful staff……i inquired with the front desk about how i could possibly purchase the shower gel provided in the rooms, as it smelled very nice…..and to my pleasant surprise, one of the receptionists gave me a bag full of at least 15-20 small travel size shower gels to go!!! and she still asked me if there was anything else i wanted!!!! excellent service, though rooms are priced on the higher end……but you definitely get what you pay for!!
I stayed here three nights on my first trip to Austin. I was attracted by the offbeat Web site; the apparent “hip” ambience; reviews I’d read; and the proximity to shops, restaurants, and downtown. Seeking quiet, I stayed in a Grand Suite ($345 with taxes weekdays, $340 plus taxes weekends), with a “secluded back garden location.” Relative to the other…
Overall a nice facility. A good distance from Austin but great view of the lake. Hotel/Condominium. Restaurant on site was ok, pool and pool bar were closed during our visit. Very few restaurants near hotel, and most have very limited hours. The hotel and community seem more appropriate for an older, less demanding clientele. I would recommend this hotel to…
All we can say is…. Wow!We were looking for a nice place to stay over the fourth of July on Lake Travis in Austin. We waited too late and all of the lake houses were booked. We stumbled across the Lost Parrot Cabins and are so glad we did! The cabins are nestled away in the hills near Lake Travis. Although they are not waterfront, they are in a great outdoor setting with a beautiful hill country view. The cabins are charming and very ecletic, very Austin like! The property owners are wonderful and made sure our stay was a memorable one. There was live acoustic music one evening poolside which was the perfect way to end a fun filled weekend. We strongly recommend staying at the Lost Parrot Cabins. It is a unique experience you won’t find anywhere else.Pros + Secluded, outdoor paradiseCons – No lake access, steep charge if you have more than 2 people per cabin
