Card shops usually only accept very rare cards from Ultimate Rare to Secret Rare and when the owner does accept the cards they will need to make a profit in the future. So, the owner will give you dollars of about a little less than half of the actual value of the specific card. Afterwards, the owner will sell the card at full price which would make them a profit, but not a profit for you. Your best try is to sell your cards on ebay. Since people fight for the card there will be competition and price will rise hopefully to the actual value of the card.
