Where is the Best Waxing in New York, New York?
I just got back from this spa. I took my parents with me – my dad had a hot stone massage and my mom had the Clean as a Whistle facial, just like I did. We all loved the services we received. The staff is very professional and accommodating. What I loved most is that Kira was very thorough when performing the extractions during my facial – and at the same time didn’t leave me looking like someone had beat me up! There was some redness here and there, but it wasn’t bad. I’ve been to places where I didn’t want to leave after a facial because I’ve been left very red and swollen! Kira was great though. Another thing I liked is that she wasn’t constantly recommending products – she recommended two services at the beginning of my facial, and after I politely declined she proceeded to do a wonderful job and knew exactly when to ask me how I was doing. She also informed me of each step throughout the facial. My mom loved her esthetician as well, her name is Anita. I’m sure everyone the
When the “girl” who used to “do” me at a downtown salon left without saying where she was going, I had to find a new place. I had recently moved to the Upper West Side, had no clue where to go, and chose At Salon, based on the rave reviews here on Citysearch. I did have reservations, though, thinking, okay, there’s no way it can live up to the hype, but at the very least, I’ll snag a free pastry/cookie/cake from the room in the back, which was purported to be a perk. *I’m always anxious when trying a new place, even when it’s touted as being “friendly”. Upon entering, however, I was greeted by everyone within, and all anxiety went the way of the dodo. (The old receptionist has since left. Maya, the receptionist now, couldn’t be a better or more gorgeous “first face” if she tried.) *Edyta, the manicurist/pedicurist, although as stunning as a model, is as modest and down-to-earth as your favorite school teacher. And the actual manicure and pedicure? Absolute perfection. She
I came across Dyanna Spa after seeing that it won for Best of New York for waxing, and was extremely pleased to noticed that it’s only a few blocks away from me in Gramercy Park! I called for an appointment and was relieved to find out they had time to book me that same day being that I was going on vacation the day after. I had a bikini and full leg wax done, as well as eyebrow threading. The whole process was fairly QUICK AND PAINLESS, the salon was extremely clean and cozy and Sabina the girl that performed everything was beyond sweet and professional. Now I know why this salon received a top rank for best of NYC for hair removal! Being such a hit or miss service, it’s amazing to know that there are salons that can deliver such great quality at such a reasonable price. I would absolutely recommend it and will be back next month! You are the best, fast and painless…….Do not listen to those who going to tell you otherwise. Go and find out for yourself…..”Dyanna Nail & Body
went once for a 10 min chair rub with sonya very good! today went to someone else Lee who had all the pictures of the clintons in the spa room…for 60 min massage. was ok but I felt only one hand on my leg and I heard what sounded like the lady checking her messages on her cell- normal, not for 85$ for 60 min! and my shoulders have red scratches from the nails on her hands but massage was decent… nice atmosphere, nice relaxing spa room. Pros + relaxing, not the 10 min 10 dolla rub mani- pedi jointCons – strange experience
