Where is the Best Waxing in Houston, Texas?
My first review, I’ve been the Houston area guinea pig for waxing until now. The Waxing Bar came very highly recommended by a few friends and WOW. Pia was very quick and painless. She was very sweet and attentive to my every need. I explained that I have had 5 bad waxes by every “good” place on Citysearch but they all failed miserably. This is my Brazilian waxing place from now on! Pia’s wax really is better than anyones blue or not! Believe me, I’ve tried them all. Her secret oils work! All of the staff is very friendly and knowledgeable about their services. I love that they don’t try to make you buy crap like shirts and panties and all that fluff, I mean I am there for waxing. If you can get Pia I recommend her and if not I’m sure the other girls are great too, they definitely aren’t lacking in the humor aspect……I mean these people are very funny and a whole lot of fun. I started getting facials at Dolce Vita about 2 months ago and I have been very pleased with the results. I have been battling with acne for years now and never realized how important daily, weekly and monthly maintenance are for the skin. Bailie was very patient with me and took the time out to customized their skin care line for me. Because of my busy schedule I have had the opportunity of getting a facial done by one of their other estheticians as well and the consistency of the quality of their estheticians was very impressive. Paulette was the other esthetician I tried and she was great.. Although there were slight differences in their technique both facials were awesome. Normally when I’ve visited spas in the past there’s usually only one person you feel you can trust, and I am very happy to be able to have 2!!! BTW I’m not really into waxing my eyebrows but tried it with Paulette and I am very pleased!!! Overall dolce vita has been a great experience and the atmosphere
Gurlfriends, you must go get a facial here. They won best of citysearch for a reason. I booked my appointment thinking I’d get the same old basic cleansing facial, which at the time, was alright with me. I just wanted to see what all the reviews were about. I’m an esthetician too at another spa, and I am always aware of what is being done to my skin and body, so it is very difficult for me to relax. Yvonne worked on my face, and she did things I’ve never had done to me before by facialists twice the price. I was zonked and fell asleep within five minutes. I didn’t want to wake up. Even the best massages I’ve ever had (and I’ve had them here too, they’re wonderful as well) really never put me in this state of “floating” that Yvonne’s touch gave me. I was seen by Di…a wonderful professional and a true artist of her craft! She’s from Brazil…so she REALLY knows her stuff! If you speak spanish, you’ll get the most wonderful conversations sprinkled with portugese here and there. She was very polite, never rude or inappropriate…which was very effective in putting me at ease. I mean, you’re already sitting there half naked waiting to get waxed feeling incredibly exposed. The last thing you need is more embarrassment. But Di treated me so amazingly well! I was so comfortable with the whole experience! It was my first time and really had no clue what to expect! As a tattooist, I understand the nerves that come with the anticipation of a painful procedure. But, with the proper bedside manner, even the most skittish can be put at ease.
