I arrived twenty-five minutes prior to my appointment to find myself half asleep, in the V-Spa relaxation room, soaking my feet in a warm foot bath, enjoying a specialty drink with a heated pillow, scented with eucalyptus leaves, wrapped around my neck. My esthetician, warmly, greeted me and brought me into the facial room, in which, I received the Ultra V-Lux facial, which included a exfoliation, a light chemical peel, followed by a masque, which penetrated a, hydrating, Sonya Dakar serum into my face and decollate, leaving my skin baby soft and youthful. It was an incredible experience and I plan to return the first chance I get. The whole staff was extremely pleasant from beginning to end.
My mother owns her own salon in Lake Whitney, so the drive down there isn’t realistic for a haircut. I have been getting my hair cut in DFW at every type of salon,stylist, barber shop, etc… that you could even imagine for the past 12 years. All of this time, I havent been able to find one particular stylist that I ever went back to. It seemed that no one would listen to what I wanted, but instead would cut my hair the way they wanted, or knew how to cut men’s hair. NOT THE CASE HERE!! Kaivan and Robin were not only very willing to share their opinions about my (at the time I had cut my own hair do to me not being satisfied with other people doing it) hair, and how a different shape could bring out other features in my face if it were taken out a little here, and thinned here, etc… Not sure if you have ever had someone be truthful with you, but at the time, I had not, but it was exactly what I was looking for, and needed. I appreciated their honesty so much, I decided to go try
Mariam took the time away from her shop to fly from texas to Boston to take care of all the makeup and hairstyles for all my daughters wedding party. She is the best I have ever known and as a human being she is warm and friendly and just an all around good person. I will always follow Mariam around no matter what city or state she ends up in! Been following her for over 15 years now. I love this woman!! My daughter also flies in from Boston just to have Mariam do her hair. I’m a 2+ year member of Hiatus and have been delighted with each experience since day one. From the front desk crew (Darian, Emily) to the awesome facialists and massage therapists (Lindsay, Andrea, Tomecia, Andrew), each visit definitely meets “relax and be pampered” criteria. I’ve recommended numerous friends to Hiatus and each comes away with rave reviews and new memberships. The only thing I would say that is a negative (for me, not her) is that it is very hard to get into see Lindsay after work hours. She is so wonderful it’s no wonder she’s so popular!! Thanks Hiatus!! Amy Kott Hovland has the best staff of stylist who are well trained in the latest hair styles and color applications. The scalp massage given during a shampoo is so relaxing it is hard to stay awake. Also, the shampoo area has reduced lighting and soft soothing music to relax you and make the experience wonderful. Everyone is professional, friendly and courteous. They also have the top of the line products so I can maintain my hair in the same condition that I left the salon in.Thanks to the Von Anthony Salon I look beautiful and feel very confident about my appearance.Pros + BEST HAIR STYLISTS IN TOWNCons – None that I’ve noticed
