The food was once very good – but now – 7/9/04 -sat outside and though the river was beautiful, my meal was served in a red plastic basket with a waxed(?) paper in the bottom – reminding one of ‘Burger In A Basket’. Halfway through the meal the paper was soggy and coming away on the food – chicken satay – was once very tender and spicy – now dull and flat. Don’t order a split of Freixenet – they don’t have it despite the menu – brought splits of Korbel without notification of the change!! KORBEL!!!??? Ye Gods!!!! The Dock needs to pull up its socks and start serving decent food and wine and PLEASE train your wait staff and GET RID OF THOSE PLASTIC BASKETS – we’re adults expecting an adult meal!Pros + view, river trafficCons – , service, wine quality

Had a family event dinner here when we were all visiting from out of town & staying at my sister’s Minneapolis home. The meal exceeded our every expectation. Everything – salads, entrees, dessert – was wonderful. I like how you can get a steak & seafood combo w/ a smaller size of each. The filet mignon was sensational, to die for – awesome cut and cooked perfectly. Everyone in our party raved about the food constantly, especially those who ordered steak. The walleye, a specialty of theirs, was great, but if we ever come back to town and eat here again, I’d try a different seafood w/ the steak, it didn’t make me a lifelong fan (but I’d get the filet mignon again definitely!) Nice selection of tasty sides. The desserts, presented beautifully, were delicious; my husband and I split the decadent and scrumptious mud pie of chocolate and coffee ice cream on an Oreo crust, worth every calorie. Service was amazing and friendly. Ambiance cozy and warm. I like how you can go casual or

It’s hard to review considering we had the worst server ever here. She was obviously not happy to be there, or to be serving us. which meant no drink refills for us. The patio makes this place. The food is fine, nothing to set it apart from a million other restaurants. Still, it was fun to be out on the patio on a nice Saturday afternoon.Pros + patioCons – everything else

Maynard’s is a great place to go for dining and relaxing however they lack in proffessionalism. This restaurant is very busy and thier staff is always stressed and it shows. The management is very unprofessional and short with customers and thier phone edicate is terrible. Go there if you want a good meal, but don’t expect to be treated as if you are spending any money, because they just want to turn tables.Pros + Lake Minnetonka, PatioCons – , poor management, music outdoors

I had the opportunity to try this place for a Sunday Brunch. We were able to sit outside on a perfect late summer day. The view was nice, the service was good without being in your face. The brunch options were nice and there was enough that my entire party was able to enjoy what they ate. Cons – desserts that were dry, the cakes were apparently home made and they were the best and went fast. Avoid the little cupcake style desserts. The fruit plate. The fruit was good and fresh the problems was that for people like me with fruit allergies the mixing of some fruit and the same use of utensils I was unable to enjoy any fruit. (I realize that this is more of a personal issue but could easily be solved by placing fruit in separate bowls). I would recommend this place to anyone for a nice reasonably priced breakfast. Go on a nice day and sit outside (when it’s warm of course). Pros + location/view, value, freshness
