Where is the Best Vintage Clothing in Austin, Texas?
Since I moved to Austin three years ago, I have been to almost every boutique this cute town has. My favorite shop of them all is Love. They always have what I am looking for, needing, wanting and the ladies who work there are the sweetest. So often boutique people are rude or snotty, but these ladies are super down-to-earth, honest, friendly. I go to Love when I need a pick-me-up. I HIGHLY recommend shopping at Love. It’s a sweet experience. (Oh and did I mention how eclectic the merchanidise is?)Pros + Easy parking, helpful staff, unique items in the storeCons – um….
I really used to like buffalo exchange in california, now living in texas the only thing that has changed is the people. Same store, same concept. As a customer there and a seller I was really bothered by the low offers I recieved on some items, ex.( a genuine BeBe dress) I was offered $15 dollars for it and the sad thing is I get 35% of that in cash = $5.25 for a dress I paid atleast $130. I’m just ranting here, but all in all if you want to buy cute clothes at ok prices Do, if you want to sell clothes, have a garage sale.Pros + designer things, at low prices, open late= 8:00Cons – "pro buyers", barely $ recieved, questionable
This is a great shop for moderately priced vintage formal wear. They have a nice selection of women’s dresses from the 40’s, 50’s and 60’s all in good codition. Let’s Dish also has a decent seletion of costume jewelry and other retro/vintage odds and ends. Stop by and take a look, the store is not huge so it’s not overwhelming like some thrift/vintage shops can be. Pros + nice selection, easy parking
Uptown modern is a surprizing shopping treat. They have an amazing variety of items from mid century modern furniture to some good old cowboy/girl boots .I was driving on Burnet road and a disco ball got my attention so I stopped and went in to find many great items to marvel at. The clerk said the court yard and smaller building to the right was also part of their store . The couryard has fun outdoor items and the smaller store was just as much fun as the main one. Every where you look you will see something interesting! The prices were good too not cheap but fair .Uptown is one of those “Austin” places, thankfuly its new , we are losing so many of our JEWELS!! This one is a keeper!
