Where is the Best View in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania?

Based on reviews online and a few from friends, I had high expectations before coming to Tin Angel. However, I was quite disappointed. The meal started off with Wedding Soup (nothing special) or a fruit cup (just some melons and pineapple). Next was their ‘signature’ vegetable boat which was a conglomerate of marinated vegetables and some cheese and salami all which could have been bought at the local Giant Eagle. The main course was the only part of this meal that was actually above average (I had filet mignon). The desserts however, were similar to those you’d get at a TGIFridays cheesecake with canned strawberries, vanilla ice cream or a simple parfait. This restaurant was nothing special and was extremely overpriced. The view was amazing, the service was alright and the food was not even close to what one would expect from a restaurant that charges $50-60 a head.Pros + ViewCons – Expensive, Average Food

I was at the stone mansion on February 14, one of the bussiest nights of the year. We got seated quickly. The food was excellent, the wine that was recommended was very good. But the service could have been better. The waitress was not very friendly, actually she was snobby. We did seem to wait awhile for our food, but it was very busy. I would definately go back again. This was our second time there.Pros + Valet Parking, Great Food and Wine, Nice AtmosphereCons – A little Expensive

We were here a while ago and had a terrific time we are planning on returning this month (3/07) the food was served beautifully and within a reasonable amount of time…and the wati staff was more than efficient the food was absolutely delicious…i had the controversial sea bass….i cannot recall what my freinds had one thing i would reccommend is slightly larger portions also, i like my table not so close to those around me when you make your reservation ask to be seated on the right side as you enter the dining area in the corner….. its all glass and that way you are afforded a view in several directions you can have a drink in the bar area as you wait and that is nice too when we were there i found that area to be small and crowded. in such a nice place it certainly would have been nice to have a nice three piece ensemble playing live music even…you know for that added touch…not only that after dinner hours it could serve as a higher end place to have a few drinks

I can’t believe this place stays in business. We’ve dined there several times and each time we had gone back we’d hoped to experience a better meal. Never happened. The food is marginal at best and the service is about the same. If you go there expecting a true fine dining experience, you will be disappointed. The only decent feature is the view but one can get the same view from any other restaurant in Mt. Washington. I wouldn’t waste my money in this place again. Pros + ViewCons – Quality of food. Service. Overpriced for barely average food.

I was enjoying a very pleasant evening at The Coal Hill Steakhouse until it was disturbed abruptly by a table next to us. I could not help but to over hear another table in the dining room discussing their displeasure with their steak. The server was called over and I saw her take the steak away. During what I assumed to be the process of the kitchen preparing another steak for this disturbed person, I overheard the unpleasant (to say the least) disposition of these people. They were out for a free meal and it was obvious. The nerve of some people! It is embarrassing and extremely annoying that individuals who are obviously miserable to begin with even go out to eat with the sole purpose of disturbing and taking advantage of nice establishments. When the new steak was returned (very promptly I may add) this lady had the nerve to eat the entire thing and further complain that it was overcooked. I personally witnessed an entire waitstaff and management team be distracted from al
