Where is the Best View in Hartford, Connecticut?
I went here with a group of friends a couple of years ago for our annual Christmas get together. We were seated promptly but it was downhill from there.Very Very slow service.Meals were brought out one or two at a time with a lot of time in between.Dishes were almost thrown on the table.Finally one of our group had a heated talk with the person in charge that night. just wanted to take a moment to express my disappointment with the accommodations we were provided with on Valentine’s night. The Pond House decided to open up the banquet hall to accomodate more reservations. I realize that by opening up the banquet hall for more reservations you were able to increase your head count, however, the atmosphere was awkward at best, our table/chairs were glorified uncomfortable patio furniture, and I walked away from the experience feeling like I was the victim of a scam. I must say that the food was good, however, this did not make up for the lack of comfort, given the cost of the meal. I regret my decision to dine at the Pond House. While theymay have increased the customer count for one night, they definitely lost my repeat business.
