Where is the Best Vietnamese Food in Los Angeles, California?
My husband & I have been here a few times & always enjoy it. Last time we started with the veggie crepe you wrap in lettuce – delicious. He had beef pho, I had veggie. Wished I had a bigger stomach so I could keep eatting…. And, get this – the safff is attentive & nice – not rude asses like the staff at Gingergrass – imagine that! What a pleasure.Pros + Good food, nice staff, no corkage feeCons – can’t think of any!
i have been to this restaurant several times. it is pretty authentic vietnamese, which means great food at a low price, but average service. . .also, there can be a pretty long wait here. which is a good sign b/c a lot of local vietnamese frequent the restaurant.i’m vietnamese and i’d be willing to take my parents here. . .the rice combination dishes are good and what i usually get. . .but i’ve had the 7 course beef and that’s pretty tasty too. . for noodle soups like hu tieu i’d recommend my ngoc restaurant in san gabriel instead.Pros + pretty fast service, authentic, tasty and cheapCons – long wait
When you walk into this place you have no idea that a place that lacks ambiance would have such great food. I’ve been going to Pho So 1 for about 6 years now and I haven’t had any pho that beats this place. It’s alwasy crowded and for good reason; the food is awesome (especially the fried egg rolls) but the service can sometimes be a little on the rude side…but hey I think that’s part of the experience. Must haves are the afore mentioned egg rolls, number 19 (rare steak pho) and the coffee. On the weekends carry out is probably a better option than waiting for a table, but who can resist dining in and shopping at the Ranch 99 that’s next door? All in all it’s a great place for lunch, eat in is better than carry out for the full experience – and don’t be put off by seemly rude staff…it’s all part of the deal.Pros + Good Pho, Cheap Eat, Fast ServiceCons – Sometimes rude staff, ocassionaly crowded
