Where is the Best Vegetarian Food in Dallas, Texas?
I am a vegan, but my mom and stepdad are not, but we all went to Veggie Garden and loved it. We had the mongolian soy beef and a spicy eggplant dish and an appetizer tray. All of it was great. Choice of white or brown rice. The menu was huge, at least 20 dishes in several categories: soy chicken, soy pork, soy seafood, soy beef, and vegetable dishes. A real mom ‘n’ pop kind of place, run by a woman in front of house and a man, probably her husband, in the kitchen. Good service. Great food. Only one item on the menu is not fully vegan; they serve crab ragoon with real dairy, but it is marked dairy in red letters on the menu. The restaurant doesn’t look like much from the outside, and the inside isn’t much either, but the food was excellent, moderately priced, and vegan. I’m planning to go back for their lunch buffet as soon as I can. Highly recommended for anyone vegetarian or someone just looking to try something new. Take a friend that is not vegetarian and see if they can

My husband and I decided to try this new place that opened up in our neighborhood but being big pizza lovers, we were cautious with our expectations. Oh my gosh, Pizza by Marco is the best thin crust pizza we’ve ever had. We easily eat there 3 to 4 times a month now. We had never been there but learned there are two other locations, Preston and Royal and Parker and Toll, and now this one in North Dallas. Evidently his dad started making pizza in DFW back in the 50’s and now the son has taken over to keep it going. The sauce is amazing – I’m not sure what it is about it but it is addicting, and I’m not a big sauce fan. The cheese is just right and my favorite toppings are chicken, garlic & sun-dried tomatoes. (They have all the traditional and some tasty gourmet toppings as well.) My husband likes hamburger so we split a large and easily go through it – he eats a slice or two of my half. 🙂 The crust is thin enough that it has great texture and flavor but not too filling. I am a region sales manager and spent most weeks at night in hotels eating delivery and working from my hotel room. I have eaten Thai from coast to coast and while I can’t say I would consider myself an expert on traditional Thai, I do make a mean Tom Yum soup at home. Thai Tanee is a terrific example of a family owned, exceptional Thai restaurant. I had The Tom Yum, Pad Thai, Tad Mun Pla (Fish Cakes), spicy Basil Chicken, Spicy grilled Salad, and the salad rolls recently over my last four day trip to Dallas. The menu is a balanced blend of traditional Thai and Thai fusion dishes, and everything I’ve had was fresh, flavorful, and incredibly tasty. The Grilled salad was perhaps the best salad I’ve ever had anywhere and the spicy Basil was great. The Pad Thai was better than average. Not quite the best I’ve ever had, but better than many I’ve eaten. The delivery was great and within an hour of my order. Mom answered the phone almost everyday. She and the son who delivered and o
Ok, let me start by saying that I have been driving past this restaurant for YEARS, and have never stopped in. This was definitely a sad oversight on my part. I stopped in today for a bite on ym way home, and was pleasantly surprised. From the outside, you would not think that you could get more than a few people inside, let alone a full kitchen, but when you walk in the restaurant opens into a very spacious and attractive open floorplan. Now, any time I go to a Thai restaurant, I must have an order of corn patties. Being allergic to peanuts, I cannot have the traditional sauce, but I love the corn patties themselves with the sweet chili sauce. I must say that I was a bit disappointed with the corn patties at Bangkok City. The flavor was very nice, but they were a touch harder than expected and had too much breading for my taste. I also ordered the beef and noodle soup. This soup was phenomenal! I have recently started eating beef again after many years as a vegetarian, and am therefo
