Where is the Best Vegan in San Francisco, California?
I live in the the Marina District and just found this place. The food is wonderful. I really love the desserts. The prices are very reasonable. They are about the same as the other quality restaurants, but the food here is all organic! What I like about it most is the freshness of the food. The food is not overly-spiced or salted. They depend on the foods’ natural flavors. I spoke the owner and he says he’s also has food booth and the San Francisco Ferry Builidng Farmers’ Market on Saturdays, so he gets a lot of his produce directly from local farmers. The most interesting dishes there are their Asian Noodles. They come with 4 tasty appetitizers. The noodles are not really noodle. They’re made from sliced vegetable like zuchinni and carrots.I also recently attended a raw food class and learned that it’s very difficult to make this food and very costly to make. The desserts can be very rich and nut-based, so a normal portion should be small, unless you want to gain weight.
I was reluctant to try this place at first becauase of all the negative reviews I’ve read about the service (or lack of, rather). However, after much convincing (whining) from my baby brother, I decided to take him there… and could not be more glad that I did. Not only is their pho delectable (really, you would never think meatless pho had so much flavor), their potstickers mouthwatering (ALMOST as good as the veggies ones I make at home ^_~) and their pineapple salmon scrumptious (texture is eerily like the real thing), but… someone in their staff MUST have heard all the negative comments about their service, because my bro and I had such attentive service when we were there, and I didn’t see any annoyed/sour faces on any of our fellow diners. Ambience is very nice, almost out of place for the neighborhood. Yes, the neighborhood is a little seedy so you may not want to take your first date or boss there, but it’s completely fine during the day. But, if you really have a phobia tow
This is a trendy, modern diner/cafe with a very vegan-friendly menu and also wine and beer. Almost all of their food is organic and fresh, with an emphasis on local ingredients, too. My tempeh green curry was a bt bland, but the ingredients were of high quality. My partner’s garden burger was delicious and filling, though, with a spicy chipotle sauce. They only had one vegan dessert, a raw cheesecake, which was creamy and wonderful. The prices are a bit on the higher side, but the food is fresh and fairly tasty, the service is friendly, the place is clean and modern, and it’s in a hip, vibrant area just off of Chestnut St.
I absolutely love this place!!! My favorite is the veggie italian sausage with a side of tatar tots!!! Yummy!! Great food!! Great people!! Great atmosphere!! everything is absolutely yummy!! The foods good for you and so is the environment they’re made in and so are the folks they’re made by! I hated hot dogs in the past but this place has opened my taste buds now I love em only if they’re from the underdog!!! The owners are also the employees and they always welcome you with open arms. By the way my kid loves they’re Organic PBJ sandwich which is made in a warm and toasted organic bun! this little place should serve as a role model for all business’ to follow. much thought has been put into every aspect of trying to conduct a socially responsible business. everything served is made with organic ingredients. all of the plastics used here are biodegradeable their either made out of corn or potato. all the paper products are made from recycled paper. recycling is encouraged. they t
