Where is the Best Vegan in Atlanta, Georgia?
I lived in Atlanta for 5 years and ate at Harmony regularly. Even though I have been away from Atlanta longer than I ever lived there, I still crave Harmony on a daily basis. The General Tao’s chicken is the best veggie Chinese meal I have ever had, and is only seconded by their Mu Shoo Pancakes. I have looked all over California trying to find something that even comes CLOSE to how good Harmony is, and I have failed at every turn. I am shocked by the reviews that describe the food as bland or tasteless. I found every item on their extensive menu (and believe me–I tried them all!) to be extremely flavorful and the texture was absolutely unmatched. But the most impressive aspect of the restaurant, and what makes Harmony even more special than the food, is what an amazingly friendly staff they have. After our first few visits, the owner would always greet us by name. And once we became regular customers, he was known to treat us to dinner on our birthdays or special occasions. Even now,
Took my wife for dinner on a tuesday nite. Had reservations but not needed. Really like the small and intimate atmosphere. We had the hummus appetizer which was top notch. We actually had it cleared from our table with some left (not like us at all), but felt with so much food coming it would fill us up…Our waitress brought our arugula salad (we ordered one to share) already split on two plates, very thoughtful. The salad was excellent with a few dried onions. My wife and I loved it. Now the fun part – we ordered the skate wing and fried chicken entrees. I was a little hesitant on the skate, but since I saw so many people rate it highly – and the servers endorsement…I took a chance. It was AWESOME. It had a scallop feel and was fibrous, not fishy at all. The grits served with it made the dish. The chicken was delightful, a true southern dish cooked masterfully. I mentioned to the server it was my wifes birthday, and she brought our dessert (3 small dishes – dried cherry tart, choco
I’ve never written a review before, but I read the reviews prior to coming to this place and wanted to throw my two cents in as well. This place was great! We went in around 2:30 on Saturday, and of course at that time they weren’t very busy. The place had a nice atmosphere, was clean, and decorated nicely. My boyfriend mentioned that he wished they had a small TV by the bar so he could check the scores of the games, but that was our only minor complaint. Our order was taken as soon as we were ready, and we ordered a bottle of wine as well. We were suprised by the wine service, it was very formal and the waitress did a great job at it. Our food arrived pretty quickly, and was exactly as we had ordered it. I had the Pineapple Curry Fried Rice (Vegetable) and it was seriously amazing – so good that my boyfriend and I got another order to-go to split for dinner. I’m still thinking about it two days later. One additional note, I thought it was great that when we ordered the secon
You can actually taste the fruit in the smoothies and not just a bunch of sugar, syrup. That is because there is none. In addition they use very little ice. I also had the Tuna wrap. Extremely fresh from start to finish. I usually do not sign up for email clubs but before I left I did just that as I feel I will spending a lot of time here. So I may as well get the coupons if they are giving them out.Great post work out destination.Pros + fantastic smoothies, incredible food
L’thai is now my favorite Thai restaurant. The place is very nice inside and the ambience is great, it has a very cool vibe. The staff is pretty attentive and the food is delicious. Oh the drinks! the waitress recommended one of their signature drinks call Pink Dragon, and it’s wonderful. They also have extensive beer and wine list, include the organic ones. The spring rolls are out of this world. The green papaya salad is the best, hands down. For entrees, the sea bass and the basil duck are scrumptious, and for the curries, I really like their jungle curry. I’ve never seen this type of curry in any Thai restaurant I’ve been to. It’s not heavy because it doesnt’ have any coconut milk but the taste is awesome. Get it spicy and you’ll be on fire! I truly enjoyed this restaurant, and would highly recomend it to anyone.Pros + The vibe, the food, the drinks and the serviceCons – None
