Where is the Best Used Bookstore in San Francisco, California?
Sometimes I am amazed at my own cluelessness. I consider myself a big fan of science fiction – I’ve read a ton of it. I recently read five Orson Scott Card books in the span of 20 days. So the other day I realize that I’m missing the fourth book (out of five) in Card’s somewhat obscure Homecoming Saga. There are about 6 book stores within 5 blocks of me, and I hit my two favorites. They don’t have the book I’m looking for, and in fact I’m annoyed by how small their sci-fi section is, given that it’s San Francisco.So I wander into Borderlands(a store I hadn’t tried before), and as I’m walking in, I notice a whole shelf of Orson Scott Card books right by the door. I then notice a speaker in the back of the store talking about some elfin race to 10 or so nerdy looking people. I then see pictures of dragons on the walls.
