Where is the Best Upscale Casual Dining in Salt Lake City, Utah?
Expensive but good, my tuna was great. My boyfriends lobster was amazing! However $40 for a lobster tail is a lot. I’ve been to restaurants around the same $$$ and liked them better…I guess I just wasn’t that impressed. Service was good though…my boyfriend liked it… it’s not a place that I would go to again and to me it didn’t live up to it’s reputation. However, I didn’t dislike it..
I go to red rock almost every weekend, the food is delicious! I usually order the scallops or the flat iron steak, and it is always delicous. I’ve also had their salads and pizzas, which are ok but nothing too special. It is usually very crowded on friday and saturday nights, which makes it extremely difficult to have a conversation. There tends to be lots of loud people drinking. They do have good beers, although usually i order wine and the wine list is rather limited. Service is adequate – it is pretty quick but never too friendly. They seem to focus more on efficiency than making you feel welcome. One complaint i do have is that they used to include a salad or soup with every entree, and now you have to pay an extra $2 to add that onto the meal, which is pretty obnoxious. It is definitely not romantic, and a better option if you’re looking for a bar atmosphere.Pros + great steak, scallops, saladsCons – very noisy!
I received a gift card to this place, looked at the other reviews and was very hesitant to check this place out, but boy am I glad I did. We went on a Sunday night so there is a plus right there – open on Sundays. The hostess was nice. The service was great. The wine was really good. The apps were SO fresh and full of flavor. We have the hand stretched mozzerella and a flat bread with goodies on top, then the entrees arrived and they were just as amazing in flavor. My husband had the steak – it was HUGE!!!!! He ended up taking some of it home – a rare occasion when he orders steak. I had a pasta with mushrooms that was amazing!!! We had to save room for desert so we got our entrees boxed up to go and ordered dessert. The dessert was wonderful!!!!! I had a chocolate torte with mocha gelato on top – it was divine. My husband had the bread pudding that was fabulous!!! It was served warm with big plump fresh berries. Our experience was wonderful. I feel bad for those reviewers that did not
