Where is the Best Upscale Casual Dining in Sacramento, California?
First time was this last news years eve. It was fabulous! 2nd time on my birthday in Jan. it was fabulous!! 3rd time just this last weekend I took out of town people it was fabulous!!! It is our new favorite place. excellent food and amount of food for the money. great atmosphere. the whole experience is more like entertainment then “just going out for dinner”. The out of town people that I took absolutely loved it said it was the highlight of their trip to Sac. They’ve eaten all over the country and out of the country and said it was one of their best experiences! Some good friends of ours took their whole family there last night and couldn’t say enough about it. My friend said the lamb was the very best she’s ever had. I don’t know whats going on with the couple of bad reviews I read below, when there are only a couple bad reviews among the great reviews, I have to think it’s something wrong with reviewers!!!!
My husband and friends took me to Esquire Grill for my birthday last night. The food was excellent!! I had the tenderloin which was cooked exactly how I ordered it. I tried a bite of a few of the other peoples entrees and they were great as well. The service was on the slow side, but we weren’t in a hurry. Our waiter seemed a little stuck up, but the hostess (who I think was actually the manager) was really nice. At 26, and on a Tuesday night, I think we were about 20-30 years younger than the average age of other patrons though. Oh, and the valet parking for $5 that gets added to you bill at the table was great!!! Pros + Food, price Cons – location, service
This place has great food and reasonable prices. I love their risotto and it goes great with a glass of wine. They do have a pretty small menu, but most things I’ve tried there are really good. I recommend sitting out in the patio area because it’s really nice back there when the weather is good. I’ve been there a few times and the service and food was great. Atmosphere is nice too. Pros + great food, nice placeCons – service is usually good, but they can be slow at times
