First timer on the fondue/dipping experience. It was just as expensive of a dining experience as a Benihana, but more fun. We really enjoyed ourselves.As others have stated: Dimly lit date/event place. Do make reservations. Plan on eating for at least 2 hours. Plan on parting with a good bit of cash. Don’t get intimidated by the menu, just order what you want. If you still have concerns, call ahead of time and talk to someone about how or what to order to stay within your comfort zone. All of their menu items, prices, methods of ordering, etc are on their website (punch in your zipcode to get started). Parties of 5 or more have an automatic 20% gratuity. $50 for reservation cancellation.This location is in the back corner of a shopping center off of a busy street. Parking might be an issue at busier times – plan on arriving early. My ONLY complaint: I researched the wine list (available online) before going and picked out five wines, assuming that they would have at least one of those. Well, they had all five but all of them were from more recent vintages than what was on the wine list. When will high-end restaurants learn that vintage matters for someone looking for a very nice bottle of wine? The same wine from the same vineyard can taste very different from one year to the next. What’s worse is when the waiter brings the wine to the table and doesn’t point out that it is from a different year than what you ordered. Now, on to the compliments. We had the tasting menu on a quiet night when the restaurant was mostly empty (it was July 3). Without exception, all of the dishes we had were creative, wonderfully prepared, and delicious. We found it particularly interesting that my wife and I got different dishes on most courses, so by sharing dishes, we actually wound up tasting about 12 dishes on a seven
I have been frequenting this great restaurant in the Heights for about three years and I have never left mad, agitated, aggravated or any other disasterous feeling that a handful of reviews state. The food is amazing, always keeping the menu fresh and new. My personal favorite appetizer is the shrimp and grits appetizer – oh WOW! The pork dishes are great as are the chicken and Sunday Brunch is always delicious as well. The omelette currently on the menu is the absolute best I have ever had as far as combination of ingrediants including artichokes and peppers. The flavors really pop!The staff IS attentive unless you are expecting them to sit in your lap or something. Not sure I understand the complaints of one of the last reviewers who timed everything through his or her dinner. How can one enjoy themselves by doing this? We had wanted to try Ibiza for quite some time and finally went on my wife’s birthday. The ambiance was nice, nothing great; patio seating was nice but a bit warm. We started out cocktails which were outrageously priced. Appetizers: SPANISH OLIVES, JAMON SERRANO AND MANCHEGO CHEESE – nice to start, but slicing ham and cheese doesn’t take a culinary genius – 2 Stars. LONG STEM ARTICHOKE HEARTS WITH SARDINIAN STYLE FREGOLA PASTA AND BLACK OLIVE OIL – very nice, tender with mild flavor with something like couscous-3 Stars. Entrees: GRILLED LOUISIANA REDFISH WITH SHELLFISH COURT BOUILLON AND SPICY TASSO RISOTTO – Nice flaky fish cooked perfectly, nice mild broth, the risotto was the stand out in the dish, it was excellent – 4 Stars. MOROCCAN GRILLED SHRIMP WITH GOAT CHEESE POLENTA – Shrimp were small but not over cooked, nice flavor. Polenta was pureed and relative tasteless: 3 Stars. Excellent food Saltwater Grill lived up to its reputation. My partner’s steak was flavorful, perfectly cooked, and served as requested with no salt or added flavors. I had the night’s special of ossobucco with mushroom risotto, it was a delicious meal although the portions were huge. Enough for dinner the next night too.Service was friendly and attentive. We enjoyed the meal and the evening.
