Where is the Best Upscale Casual Dining in Chicago, Illinois?
My group consisted of 6 people. The entertainment & service was fine. The food was average. I don’t agree with the policy of the 2 hour maximum limit at tables if your constantly ordering food or drinks. Our group spent a good amount of money to be told vacate our table. I will definitely think about going there again. Maybe I will go back for the drinks & entertainment and sit at the bar.Pros + Great drinks & entertainmentCons – 2 hour maximum limit on dining
Lived in the area over a year before I tried this place, boy was I missing out. The amtosphere is warm and cozy, staff is friendly, not pushy, or fake. Menu I found to be small, but they make up for it with the Beer list. If you go and Pumpkin soup is the special, try it, my taste buds are glad I did.Pros + Beer ListCons – Limited Seating
I never really ate here until a friend of mine started to work here and always rave about their pizza. The food was good and its more of a ritzy place if you are looking to dress up and go sit down and eat. The prices run high but it’s worth it once and a while. They have valet parking if you so chose, even the parking is really close to the entrance. The staff is nice and you get a really respected and nice atmosphere from this restaurant.
I went here for dinner because it was convenient to my location, was suggested to be reasonably priced, and had outdoor seating. They also accepted opentable.com reservations. The wine selection was good, and even wines by the glass were good. My friend said his meal was delicious, as was the amuse, but my “Kobe” beef was simply fatty beef. Also, the “reasonably priced” part was a joke. This site says average $15-25/entree. The cheapest thing was $22, and most were $28+. 2 entrees and 4 glasses of wine = $100+ before tip! The quality of food (at least mine) did not demand this price. Also, we were late (but called), and were the only ones in the place. The reataurant marked us as late, reducing my opentable points. Outdoor seating is nice, and the chef obviously has the ability, but the cost suggests you wait until they figure it out.
