Decor is fabulous. Menu is good and the wine list is wonderful. Prices can be a bit on the high side, though. And, the crowd can be a bit…

I found Moxy on this site and decided to visit during one of my trips to St. Louis and I’m glad I did. My waiter (Kenny) made sure I was kept company since I was by myself, and the service overall was friendly and fast (for this type of restaurant). Moxy is all about the trendy atmosphere. From the modern decor to the art slidshows on the LCD screens mounted on the walls of the restaurant, it is clear that Moxy is out to draw in the younger, more hip crowd. I ordered the tuna entre with the scallops appetizers (everything on the menu is one word) and was pleased with all of it. The scallops appetizer is served with fennel slaw and butter sauce and the scallops melt in your mouth; it was my favorite part of the meal though the tuna was also cooked to perfection – only seared on the outside, raw in the middle served w/ wasabi and rice. I hear they also have some great Martini’s but I stuck with a nice Pinot Noir. If you are in St. Louis, I recommend you try Moxy. It is in a nice

Yia Yia’s used to be THE place to go for Sunday brunch. It had the freshest fruit, the best food variety, and fantastic quality. Most everyone in West County St. Louis would go. Unfortunately, the overall quality and selection found in the Sunday brunches has decreased a little in the past year – and management seems to know it as they’ve reduced the price a little. It’s still a good Sunday brunch, but it probably isn’t the best in West County St. Louis anymore. I have to say I was personally a little dissapointed in their dinner, though. The quality was fine, but a little too eclectic – if you’re into Mediterranean quisine, you’ll probably be happy. I’m not, and I didn’t really enjoy the meal that much.Whenever we’ve gone, service has been exemplary, and they’ve bent over backwards to keep our baby/toddler happy. Pros + brunch, service, atmosphereCons – pricey

I was really looking forward to taking my friends to this resteraunt after reading the reviews, but I was sadly dissappointed with the service. I had made reservations for my party of 4 for a Sat evening. We arrived on time and had to wait 30 minutes for a reserved table. Walk-in’s were seated before us, (confirmed by the hostess, there was quite the crowd when we walked in and I asked if the crowd was walk-in’s or reserved tables and I was told both and we were seated last out of all of the crowd). In other establishments I have been shown to the bar to wait, instead we were left to stand by the door. We ordred tapas as opposed to entrees. The food was very good. One of the tapas we ordered was forgotten and we had to ask for refills on our water. I probably would have really enjoyed the resteraunt had the service been better.
