From reviews, my friend & I were not expecting great service. The place is hard to find. We made online reservations for 830, arrived 815 & were seated right away. The hostess was very nice but we didn’t get a good waitress. She was unhappy. She asked us what we wanted to drink right away. Once I answered what I wanted, she never asked my friend what she’d like. I said bottled water. Then she asked do you want bottled water or tap water? Before I could answer she said in a quick & quite tone bubbly or not bubbly. My friend couldn’t even hear what she was saying. Once I said not bubbly, she ran off quickly. It took 10mins for us to get our water, & a bus boy who brought it. Everything that our waitress did was very fast & quick & we didn’t know what was going on. But, the bus boy was wonderful. He came promptly after we’d finished with our Bruschetta & got us new plates. He refilled our water every time it got low. The waitress didnt give us our check until 25mins after we asked for it.

Had a great b-day dinner at the Dallas location of N9NE last night. I have a few quibbles, but thankfully they’re not with the food. Everything we ate was very good, at times veering into marvelous.I started with the Rock Shrimp. Think popcorn shrimp with a salty-spicy batter and an exquisite Sriracha-based hot sauce. If I had to knock it, I would say that the power of the batter drowned out the shrimp a bit, but there’s no denying that what it drowned it out with was pure delicious. My wife got the daily soup, Black Truffle Potato, and it was rich, subtle and warming. We then went for another starter round and shared the Kobe Tatare, a first for us. The succulent beef was well chopped, and a generous Dijon sauce (pre-mixed in) did much to distract from the fact that it was raw. Honestly, it was delicious; a great surprise for us both. I did have a problem in that my brain would say “no” even while my tongue would say “yes” (gotta love those natural instincts), but that’s somethin

For restaurant week I decided, through the luxury of my company to try Trece. I had vaguely heard of it but was not disappointed that I decided to try it on a whim. On arrival my dinner guest and I were informed that our table was not ready but was offered a complementry drink from the bar while we waited. I chose the Pomegranate Margarita and was not disappointed with my choice. The flavor was clearly Pomegranate and did not have the characteristic tart margarita flavor you get with lesser quality margaritas. We were seated shortly afterwards, but not before I was able to take in the eclectic mix of patrons surrounding the bar. Because of it being restaurant week the menu was an extremely condensed version. The choices, however, were not lacking in variety. I chose for my appetizer the 13 ingredient tortilla soup. I was surprised on how well the flavors blended together but were still distinct from each other. This was one of the best tortilla soups I have eaten. My entree

I love this place! The staff is friendly, they’re affordable (for sushi), and everything they Roll is tasty. Their variety of overstuffed maki rolls (my weakness!) keeps me coming back — Blake Roll is probably my favorite, closely followed by Lauren Roll. I also recommend their Rolls with fruit in them,

I have really enjoyed getting to know the waitstaff and owners at this local restaurant. The atmosphere is great as well as the martini’s and sushi. The service is attentive and friendly as well. Great place and if nothing else go just for the martini’s and sushi.
