Where is the Best Trendy Scene in Austin, Texas?
i sat at the sushi bar and had briana as my server. she seemed to have great knowledge of the menu and right off the bat brought up the specials. my date and i ordered a bottle of sake and basically left our sushi up to alan our sushi chef.he started us with torched escolar which was fabulous and then a few off menu items such as yellow tail with some kind of an orange sauce and goat cheese.the kitchen food was also fabulous. it was happy hour so we got some calamari and pot stickers for only 5 dollars each. the pot stickers had some cherries with it which was awesome.my favorite app was the blue crab cake. it had a puree with a curry taste to it as well as some green sauce. not sure what that was but it was great.all in all everything was great. the manager even came up to ask us how everything was. i highly recommend this place. sitting at the sushi bar was a great time. the sushi chefs were drinking with us and all in all it was a full atmosphere.Pros + fresh fish, grea
The staff at Maiko are truly the best in Austin. An excellent experience started as we entered the door of the restaurant. We were warmly greeted by the hostess given the best seat in the house and began a wonderful evening enjoying our favorite sushi and sashimi. Our waiter was one of the best and very knowledgeable of the menu and he took the time to give us delicious details of every dish that we ordered. To our delight as we began to order, the waiter brought to our attention that we were on time for the Maiko Sushi Happy Hour, on a Saturday Night WOW! It is difficult to choose a favorite, each and every dish was prepared to perfection. But, one you must taste is the Spider Roll. Very tasty with crispy softshell crab and a spicy aioli with avocado and cucumber. When we were preparing to leave the owner came to our table thanked us for coming to Maiko and asked how we enjoyed the meal. What a great experience!Pros + Valet parking, wonderful ambience
