Where is the Best Therpeutic Massage in Portland, Oregon?
I went to Blooming Moon for the first a few months ago and saw Ginny for a lash tint and wax and loved it! I was torn because I had another esthetician that I had been going to for over a year and was happy with the her work but not necessarily the whole salon that I had to go to to see her. I’m very picky about my brow and lip wax, my eyebrows keep on growing and having hair on your upper lip is never fun so I am always picky on who is going to do a good job with the brow shape for my face and not leave my eyebrows too thin and red and my lip puffy and pink. Ginny knows whats up and took care of me! The whole atmosphere at Blooming Moon was great, the location is close to my work, and the price is well worth it for the awesome services that they have. I went back this time with my husband, he got an perfect massage from Racheal and can’t wait to go back. Considering he is a guy who is not into the whole “spa” thing that I get excited about he was really impressed and felt comfortable
I had been looking for someone to trust with my hair and i read so many good reviews on Jena I decided to giver her a try. It was very convenient since she starts at 6am so I can get my hair done before I need to go into work. I went in the first time not knowing what I wanted and some how it turned out better than what I could have dreamed of. I recently went back to get highlights in to give my hair texture for an up-do for a wedding I was in, She listened to what I needed I gave me highlights that look natural, hide when I have my hair down, and makes my hair look amazing when its up. I couldn’t ask for anything more. I have never done anything dramatic to my hair but in her hands I feel like anything she does will make me look amazing in the end. My next appointment is for a Keratin treatment to straighten out my frizzy hair. She gave me a lot of information on it, and gave me good advice whether I should do it or not because of my hair type. She knows her stuff! I wouldn’t place
N.B.: HairM occasionally has promotions in which they reward customers who post favorable reviews. Without passing judgment, I just want to make clear that I am not being compensated or rewarded in any way for this review. There are already 280 reviews of this place as I write this, so I’ll keep it brief. The fact is that HairM provides a really nice experience for their customers and they do so at an extraordinary price. I grew up in L.A., where you can get a facial, scalp massage, neck rub, and glass of wine with your haircut–if you pay hundreds of dollars for it. At HairM, those are standard parts of the King’s Cut, which costs under $50. It’s more expensive than Rudy’s or Bishop’s, but you get a genuinely relaxing experience that you can really look forward to. Pros + Great experience, great priceCons – May take time to find a stylist you click with
Everything is in bloom and I was preparing for utter doom. Allergies came early this year & I really didn’t want to succumb to Claritin, again. So, I made an appointment at Zama, with Katelyn Decker L.Ac. Katelyn was wonderful! I explained what my symptoms were (scratchy throat & itchy eyes), she read my pulses & went to town. The tiny tiny needles did not hurt at all. In fact, I felt completely relaxed, with a slight euphoric feeling. She sent me home with a bottle of commonly used (in the natural world) chinese herbs. The acupuncture was practically an instant remedy & the dose of herbs that she prescribed seem to be keeping the sniffles away, Hooray! I can go outside & ENJOY the beautiful cherry blossoms. Thank you Zama & Katelyn, Bravo!Pros + Acupuncture saved me from taking Claritin
I don’t know where to begin. I love this place. Frankly, I can’t really afford it – or any spa – at this time in my life but I make it work about 3x/year (and my husband knows to get me gift certificates there!) because what it does for stress is SO WORTH IT. I always get the 80 minute massage and then sit in the grotto afterward. The price of the massage may be a tad higher than at other places, and I almost put that down as a “con,” but the grotto is included which makes it waaaay worth it for what you get, since I’d pay just to use it! It’s like being transported to another place and time – a very roman baths feel or maybe it’s an ancient tomb feel (nice dim lighting too, which can be adjusted) but whatever it is, it’s amazing. You sit in this very large (small pool-sized) jacuzzi next to a beautiful tiled wall with tea candles and they bring you wine or champagne or tea or a few other options, with appetizers, and the ceiling above slowly changes colors and has stars!
